It’s been good to get back on the bike after a short rest. It’s still early in the season and snow is still on the ground in the mountains. Soon it will be gone and cycling will rule. As a cyclist or as any person it’s good to have a little balance and do other things to keep the mind and soul fresh and happy. I’ve enjoyed being back home and doing some other things. I spent a morning up in Boulder hiking the Flatirons and day in Frisco cross country skiing. This weekend after a ride Jenny and I had an awesome hike with not a cloud all day. Yesterday we headed up to Devils Thumb in Winter Park with our good friends Kevin and Sara. Up there we spent a couple hours cross country skiing followed by a few more hours eating and taking in the view of the continental divide. Play time is over and it’s back to work today and everyday until Redlands Cycling Classic next weekend. I’m looking forward to the upcoming days at work as the mind is ready to get back to training and the soul is happy because it’s going to be in the high 60’s low 70’s all week. We’re over the winter hump here and the roads up high will soon be nice enough to ride!
